Hello everyone! I am happy to report that I have FINISHED my sophomore year of college and am officially a Junior. I don't want to jinx it, but I believe that my remaining finals went way better than bio, though I am still awaiting the results.
So long academia. . .
Yesterday evening a Fresh Direct order arrived to my house, so my fridge is perfectly stuffed and content.
The best purchase?
Edy's mint chocolate chip ice cream. They actually brought two by mistake so we got to keep the extra one for free! Free ice cream= happiness.
On Sunday night I wanted to ensure that I consumed a hearty meal before my two finals Monday. Dinner began with a Mediterranean salad
And proceeded onto a veggie/goat cheese wrap
With extra veggies
And half a sweet potato on the side.
The next morning I arose bright and early, extremely anxious for my finals to be over. For breakfast I consumed a delicious coffee yogurt, which provided additional caffeine for my exam.
I finished my last exam around 5:40PM and then met up with an amigo around 8PM to celebrate. We couldn't decide on a restaurant, so naturally we selected Tenzan.
We shared the chirashi (chef's choice of freshest fish)
Two rolls
Noodles
We kind of ordered too much food, but that's always a good problem to have;)
Today was actually quite stressful because I had to rush around a lot. I arose at 5:30AM and headed to swim practice which consisted of:
Warm Up:
200 freestyle
50 kick
50 drill
Repeat four times.
Main Set:
800 freestyle
4X50 sprint
600 freestyle
8X50 sprint
400 IM
12X50 IM
200 warm down.
It felt really great to get in a swim because I neglected exercise during finals. I did squeeze in a couple quick workouts, but studying was my ultimate priority.
After practice I quickly hopped out of the pool and rushed downtown to work because my full time job at the hospital officially started today. I worked until about noon but then had to rush back to school to petition for my major. Yes, I am a sophomore sans major. I am trying to create my own which is a long process involving an essay, written plan, and multiple signatures. I finally submitted all the paperwork today, so now I finally feel stress-free!!!
I returned home around 3PM absolutely ravenous for lunch. I began with a bit of leftover pesto
-working in the hospital
-completing my first olympic distance triathlon
-swimming in a lake. Any lake.
-cooking actual meals
-living with my good friend
-hiking
-dining alfresco
-watching a movie sans stress
-reading novels for pleasure
-starting my own business
I could go on and on, I'm just so excited for summer!!! What are you guys excited for this summer? Any fun plans?
I hope everyone is having a great week so far:)
